Nestled along the scenic Carrer de Cala Conta in Sant Agusti des Vedra, Restaurante Es Cuco is a true Mediterranean gem that perfectly captures the soul of Ibiza’s local dining scene. This inviting restaurant specializes in authentic Mediterranean cuisine, where fresh, vibrant flavors come alive in every dish, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels both relaxed and deeply connected to the island’s heritage.
Signature dishes such as their famous spitroast chicken with a rich, pepper sauce are not only crowd-pleasers but are legendary among visitors and locals alike. As one satisfied guest, Karlie Sundstrom, shared, the roast chicken is “mouthwateringly delicious," a dish so good it inspired a return visit during a short stay. Alongside this, the menu offers hearty options like tender lamb chops, perfectly grilled steaks, and a variety of fresh, local tapas that celebrate the Mediterranean’s simplicity and flavor. The generous portions are surprisingly affordable, making it an ideal stop whether you're seeking a satisfying lunch or a laid-back dinner.
The ambiance at Restaurante Es Cuco adds to its charm. Guests often praise the warm and attentive staff whose friendly demeanor enhances the overall experience. The spacious terrace provides stunning views—perfect for unwinding while watching an Ibiza sunset—and even on the hottest days, diners can enjoy a refreshing breeze, as Maria Prisecaru attests. Although some guests mentioned a preference for terrace seating, even the roadside terrace offers a charming, casual vibe where the Mediterranean spirit shines through.
Convenience is another highlight here, with ample parking right next to the restaurant making it an effortless stop during your coastal explorations to Cala Bassa and Cala Conta. Marco Wielander notes the authentic, local atmosphere alongside the adjoining shop and butchery operated by the same owners, offering fresh local produce, quality meats, and essential groceries that reflect their dedication to quality and local tradition.
Whether you're craving a traditional breakfast to start your day, a leisurely tapas brunch, or a fulfilling lunch brimming with the tastes of the Balearic Islands, Restaurante Es Cuco delivers a genuine, memorable Mediterranean dining experience. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a warm invitation to savor Ibiza’s authentic flavors and hospitality.

Great place to stop for lunch in Ibiza. Quality food and very reasonable prices. Only downside, too bad there's no table for 2 on the terrace behind and they won't leave a table for 4 for 2 even though 3 are available. The view seemed superb. So we ate on the roadside terrace.

Thanks to all the google reviews who recommended the 1/2 roast chicken with the pepper sauce. It was mouthwatering delicious! Within our 5 day trip to the island we had to go twice. It was cheap considering how much food you got.

Famous for its spit-roast chicken (with black pepper sauce) with chips and salad. It is a great cheap eat at around €12. We always go for chicken but their steak, lamb chops, and even their breakfasts are worth a go. The staff are very friendly and work hard long hours, remaining happy throughout. The views from the terrace are impressive, a great spot to watch the sunset.

One of the authentic places left on the Island. Great local breakfast, great lunch at local prices. There is also a shop next door run by the same owners with the same name and their buchery is second to non. Their veggie section is also local and they got the essentials for your stay on the island. Highly recommend on your way to Cala Bassa and Cala Conta to grab a bocadillo. Please support local, Ibiza appreciates it.
